Judge and expert training
So that a mark in Rangpur means what it means in Dhaka.
Every judge is accredited before they mark. Every skill has a Chief Expert who is a practising professional, not a member of staff.
Accreditation
Two days covering the marking scheme, objective versus judgement marks, and the conflict of interest rules. Renewed every two years.
Marking
Most marks are objective — a measurement, a pass or a fail. Judgement marks are given by three judges independently and the outliers are discussed.
Moderation
Scores are moderated before release. A Chief Expert cannot mark their own trainee, in any skill, at any level.
