Skills Ambassadors reached 180 schools last year

July 19, 2026 · Ambassadors

Former competitors going back into classrooms are the most effective recruitment we have.

Thirty-one Skills Ambassadors, all former national competitors, visited 180 schools over the last academic year and spoke to roughly 24,000 students in classes 8 to 10.

The session is deliberately simple. The ambassador brings their tools, explains what they make, says what they earn, and answers questions for twenty minutes. There is no slide deck.

Schools can request a visit through the website. Priority goes to schools outside divisional headquarters and to girls' schools, where entry to technical education remains lowest.
