Divisional heats expand to all eight divisions

August 28, 2026 · Regional Competitions

Rangpur and Mymensingh join the circuit, so no competitor should have to travel more than one night to compete.

Divisional heats will run in all eight divisions this cycle. Rangpur and Mymensingh host for the first time, which removes the long journeys that previously stopped competitors from the north entering at all.

Each heat is hosted by a polytechnic or technical training centre and runs over one or two days depending on the skill. Host institutes provide the workshop; WorldSkills Bangladesh provides the test project, the judging team and the consumables.

Travel support is available for competitors who need it. Applications are made at the same time as competition entry and are assessed on distance and need.
