Welding squad finishes its third training camp in Chattogram

September 11, 2026 · Team Bangladesh

Ten days of pipe work, X-ray testing and the kind of feedback that only arrives when someone is watching your arc.

The national welding squad spent ten days at a training centre in Chattogram working almost entirely on 6G pipe positions, the hardest of the standard tests and the one that separates competitors at international level.

Every test piece went for radiographic testing. Competitors saw their own films the same evening, which is unusual in training and is the single change the expert team credits with the biggest improvement this year.

Three competitors are still in contention for the single international place in this skill. The final selection trial will be held immediately after the National Skills Competition.
