National Skills Competition returns to Dhaka in February 2027

September 24, 2026 · National Championships
Five halls, 30 skills and around 420 competitors. Registration through divisional heats opens this month.
The sixth National Skills Competition will run from 18 to 22 February 2027 at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. Thirty skills will be contested across five halls, with around 420 competitors expected after the divisional heats.
For the first time every skill will run its full WorldSkills test project duration. That means three or four judged days instead of the single day used in earlier editions, and it brings the national event in line with what competitors face internationally.
Entry is through a divisional heat. Competitors register with their institute or on their own, compete in one of the eight divisional events between December and January, and the top three in each skill in each division are invited to Dhaka.
A free Skills Show runs alongside the competition. School groups can book Try-a-Skill sessions where students spend twenty minutes at a bench with a trainer, and employers can meet competitors between sessions.
