Employers are writing the test projects this year

Forty companies reviewed draft test projects so that what gets judged matches what gets paid for.

A competition task is only useful if it reflects real work. This cycle, forty companies across the six sectors reviewed draft test projects before they were finalised.

The changes were not cosmetic. In Electrical Installations the testing and certification section was expanded because employers said new hires could wire an installation but could not certify one. In Web Technologies the brief now changes on the second day, because it always does in practice.

Companies that want to take part in the next review round should contact the secretariat before the end of November.
